How to Measure Your Ring Size
To achieve the most accurate result, we recommend measuring your finger at room temperature at the end of the day, as fingers can swell slightly during the day.
Method 1: Measure Your Finger with String or Paper
This method is ideal if you don't have a ring that fits already.
- Prepare materials: Find a piece of string (non-elastic) or a thin strip of paper.
- Place around the finger: Wrap the string or paper around the base of the finger where the ring will sit. Make sure it is snug but not tight, and can slide over your knuckle.
- Mark the target: Use a pen to mark the point where the string or paper overlaps to form a full circle.
- Measure the length: Straighten the strip and measure the distance from the end to your mark with a ruler. This length in millimeters is your EU ring size (circumference).
Important! You almost always measure 4-6mm wrong with this method. So feel free to subtract that.

Northern Legacy Ring Size Guide
If you already have a ring that fits perfectly on the desired finger, you can use it to find your size.
- Choose a suitable ring: Make sure the ring is of a similar width to the one you want to buy.
- Measure the inner diameter: Place a ruler across the center of the ring and measure the inner diameter in millimeters. Be as accurate as possible.
- Find your size: Use the diameter column in the table above to find the corresponding US or EU size.
Important Tips for Perfect Fit
- Ring width: A wider ring (over 6mm) may feel tighter. Consider going up a half to a full size.
- Between two sizes: If your measurement falls between two sizes, it is always recommended to choose the larger one.
- Professional Measurement: The most accurate method is to have your ring size measured by a professional jeweler. This guide is a strong alternative to at-home use.
